Continue living an active lifestyle!
Assisted living is for people needing assistance with activities of daily life, but wishing to live as independently as possible for as long as possible. Assisted living exists to bridge the gap between independent living and nursing homes. Residents in assisted living facilities are not able to live by themselves, but do not require constant care. Palm Desert Senior Living's staff offer help with eating, bathing, dressing, laundry, housekeeping, assistance with medication and other daily living activities.

Often residents require even more assistance due to Alzheimer's, dementia or other memory loss disorders. Palm Desert Senior Living gets to know each person and their families and develops a "needs plan" that will supplement their quality of life, both indoors and outdoors. Some families elect to utilize hospice care for their loved ones. Our cottages are licensed to serve these residents.

Typically there are two types of assisted living. Larger facilities that are often part of continuing care communities, and board & care homes that are typically licensed for 6 residents located in residential communities. Palm Desert Senior Living combines the best of each of these into our style of living. Our tropical-themed Hawaii Village (Hawaii Cottage, Oahu Cottage, Maui Cottage and Kauai Cottage) is key to this approach.

A service care plan for each individual resident is created upon admission. The service plan details the personalized services desired by the resident. The plan is updated regularly to ensure that the resident receives the appropriate care as his or her needs change.

At Palm Desert Senior Living, our boutique style of assisted living is a perfect fit for all your special needs, and we can provide the "just like home" atmosphere that the larger facilities cannot.
